Change Your Wi-Fi Settings

If you don’t want to keep your network’s default SSID settings and password, follow the instructions on this page to personalize your network login.

Update Your Wi-Fi Password

First, plug a web-enabled device, such as a laptop, directly into the modem using the Ethernet cord.

Second, type into your preferred web browser (e.g., Firefox or Google Chrome).

Third, find the Admin Username and Admin Password on the sticker on the bottom of your modem, then enter them when prompted.

Fourth, click the “Wireless Setup” icon. Click “2.4 Ghz,” then click “Wireless Security.”

Fifth, find the SSID/network name you want to change in the list of available networks. Choose your preferred security type, choose “both” as your preferred encryption setting, and then click “Use Custom Security Key/Passphrase.”

Finally, save your changes by pressing “apply.”

Update Your SSID/Network Name

Follow the first through third steps listed above. Click the “Wireless Setup” icon, then choose “SSID Setup” from the sidebar.

Next, select the SSID you want to edit from the drop-down menu and choose “Broadcast SSID.” From there, you can enter your preferred network name. Press “apply” to save your changes.
