Malware

Two people per 100,000 people fall victim to malware in Louisiana, lower than many other states.

Methodology

Internet Service Providers analyzed four data points to determine how safe a state is for kids online: internet crimes against children (40%), internet crime victims (25%), cyberbullying and sexting laws (25%), and malware crime victims (10%).

We used the Federal Bureau of Investigation Internet Crime Complaint Center to obtain information by state on internet crimes against children, internet crimes victims, and malware crime victims.

We used United States Census Data to compare the above to each state’s population under twenty-years-old.
