Renewing Promotions and Canceling CenturyLink Services

Worried that your CenturyLink services will expire if you don’t renew them? Don’t be! Your CenturyLink services will continue until you cancel them.

One thing you might want to learn more about, though, is your promotion. Promotional discounts are often available at signup, and once they expire, you might be worried about your CenturyLink rate increasing.

While you can’t usually renew the same short-term promotion you signed up with, you can benefit from the following ongoing CenturyLink promotions:

  • CenturyLink Price for Life. When you sign up for CenturyLink Price for Life Internet, you’ll enjoy paying the same month-to-month rate for internet services. Your rate will only change if you change addresses, services, or both. If you signed up with CenturyLink Price for Life, you don’t have to renew or opt into this promotion—it will appear automatically on your bill.
  • Bundle discounts. Many service bundles are available at discounted rates to make purchasing multiple services more affordable. If you signed up for a bundle at a discounted rate, you’ll maintain that rate unless you change services or opt into another promotion.
  • Assistance programs. If you’re a low-income customer worried about changing rates, FCC's Lifeline program could help. With this program, you can apply for discounted phone or broadband internet services.

What If My DIRECTV Contract Is Expiring?

If you bundled CenturyLink internet and DIRECTV services, your DIRECTV contract likely expires in two years from your signup date. Once your DIRECTV contract is up, get in touch with CenturyLink to learn about any new and current promotions you can access with your new contract.

How Can I Cancel CenturyLink Services?

Instead of canceling, you can always call to check on current promotions, transfer service to a new address, or temporarily suspend CenturyLink services.

However, if you do need to cancel your CenturyLink internet or phone service, call CenturyLink at 800-244-1111, Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. If you have DIRECTV, you’ll need to contact them directly to cancel services.
