Cyberbullying and Sexting Laws
North Dakota has nine cyberbullying and sexting laws, which include measures against online harassment and involve both criminal and school sanctions.

Internet Crimes Against Children
For every 100,000 people under twenty years old, there are only eight victims of internet crime against children in North Dakota.

Malware
For every 100,000 people under twenty-years-old, there’s only roughly one victim of malware in North Dakota—one of the most impressively low rates of any state.
Methodology
Internet Service Providers analyzed four data points to determine how safe a state is for kids online: internet crimes against children (40%), internet crime victims (25%), cyberbullying and sexting laws (25%), and malware crime victims (10%).
We used the Federal Bureau of Investigation Internet Crime Complaint Center to obtain information by state on internet crimes against children, internet crimes victims, and malware crime victims.
We used United States Census Data to compare the above to each state’s population under twenty-years-old.
